I have a terrible habit of listing things. Sometimes it’s when I’m dancing in a club. Or when I’m at the pub. Or when someone’s explaining something about sport to me.

It’s terribly addictive I’ve found.

I often find myself listing when I’m out running - in an effort to take my mind of the fact that it feels like my heart just exploded. Today I listed my top five moments from Buffy. Not favourite episodes, or characters, just little scenes I love.

1. When Angel and Buffy fight in the season two finale. Angel knocks Buffy’s sword from her with his own. She’s on the ground and looks done for. Angel taunts her saying: "Now that's everything, huh? No weapons... No friends... No hope. Take all that away... and what's left?" And he goes to stab her she catches the blade with her palms, calmly replies "Me" and then smashes the sword back into his now not so smug face. I loved this part simply because it’s the first time I remember gasping at how cool the show was.
2. In season four when Buffy fights Adam and goes all Matrix stopping the bullets. This should be cheesy, and many fans think it is. But it is the second time I remember gasping out loud.
3. When Buffy fights Sunday in season four. The vampire had mocked her "broken arm", just before Buffy gets the upper-hand replying: "The truth is, I only need one." She then knocks Sunday right around the room before delivering the coup de grace with the line - "The arm hurts. It’s not broken." She then uses the arm to flip her stake and throw it into Sunday’s heart.
4. In season six when Buffy and Willow talk about how far they’ve come in beating their problems, Buffy’s depression and Willow’s addition to magic. Then the two best friends just sit there on the sidewalk looking deeply depressed.
5. When Dawn confronts Buffy towards the end of season seven for having Xander try and take her away from the fight. Instead of being petulant and whining she just kicks Buffy once in the shin. Buffy replies: "If you die I’m telling".
