Two dogs have been seized after they attacked another dog and an owner who was trying to break up the fight in Bushy Park.

Police were called at 10.58am yesterday (May 1) after reports of two dogs attacking another in the park.

The owner of dog that was being mauled was injured whilst trying to separate the pets.

London Ambulance Service tended to the man and took him to hospital.

He has since been discharged after receiving treatment.

Police took the injured dog to an emergency vet for immediate treatment and have confirmed that it is in a serious but stable condition.

The two attacking dogs were seized, and police have launched an investigation.

Richmond Police tweeted: “Police were called at 10:58am on 01/05 to reports of a 2 dogs attacking another in Bushy Park. “The owner of the attacked dog was also injured trying to stop the attack.

“@Ldn_Ambulance assisted the male and he has since been discharged from hospital after receiving treatment.

“Officers at the scene took the dog to an emergency vet for immediate treatment. “The dog's condition is serious but stable at this time.

“The two other dogs were seized at the time and the investigation continues.”
