Experience the sounds, smells and culture of Thailand at a big food and crafts festival in Epsom next month.

Fighting fit Thai boxers, fabulous ladyboys and graceful classical dancers are set to perform at the annual celebration of all things Thai.

Boon Chuicharoen, who founded the festival, says: "It’s like Thailand. Everyone comes to visit for a family day and to see different things. People don’t need to go to Thailand, they can see it on that day."

His daughter Anna Chuicharoen says they geared up for the festival by holding a Thai street market, including massages and traditional food, in Epsom's marketplace earlier this month.

She says: "I think we managed to give Epsom a little taste of Thailand and a little taste of the big festival in June."

On the day, Thai boxers will use their hands, feet and elbows to demonstrate the martial art known as the Science of Eight Limbs.

Visitors can also enjoy listening to traditional music and watch classical dance inspired by Thai literature and folklore.

Ladyboy performers are also returning to the festival this year with an explosive cabaret show to attract, amaze and astound the crowds.

And if that's not enough, there will be a vast array of Thai food and a massage and spa area where festivalgoers can relax and unwind.

Last year's event attracted thousands. Don't miss it.
